Must be 60 years old and in Harris County. Limited funding available until September, 2012.
Seniors in the community only; not for nursing home residents. No income requirement.

HERE IS HELP FOR SENIORS WHO LIVE IN HARRIS COUNTY
AND
DON'T HAVE AIRCONDITIONING.
Harris County Area Agency on Aging has a limited number of portable A/C units for seniors (60 or older) and they must reside in Harris County. These are designated for seniors who the heat presents a health risk or safety risk. They don’t need to own the home since the portable units don't require any structural changes. If senior lives in a home that has a window unit but it is not in the area the senior resides most of the time, they still might qualify. If you know of a senior that can use this help please have them call direct to AAA # 832-393-4301 No income limit.
This program ends August 31st.
